THA WINS THE 2006-07 REGIONAL
& STATE QUIZ BOWL!!
The THA Quiz bowl team won first place at the
regional quiz bowl competition and then won
first place at the State Quiz Bowl Competition a
week later. Congratulations to Matthew Lee,
Katerina Lay, Jordan Ellington, Neal O'Sullivan,
and George Atkins. We are very proud of you!!!!!

Wins the State
Spelling Bee in the 4th Grade Division
Taylor Jones wins First Place in the 4th grade
division for the State Spelling Bee! Anya
Bali, Sydney Gardner, and Alice Fort represented
our school as well. Great job everyone!

THA WINS THE 2006-07 REGIONAL
SPELLING BEE!!
Thomas Hart won with the most
overall points competing against 7 other
schools. Anya Bali & Taylor Jones won the
fourth grade spell down. (There are 2 winners
for each grade level) Alice Fort & Sydney
Gardner won the sixth grade spell down.
Constance Campbell placed 5th for
fifth grade and Laine Lippo also placed 5th
for third grade. In the seventh grade spell
down, Julia Crabtree placed 3rd with
Margot Rogers placing 4th. Other
participants were Meghan Daniels – third grade,
CJ Waldron – 5th Grade, Katerina Lay
and Ashlea Weeks – eighth grade. We are very
proud of all of our Spelling Bee participants.
Anya, Taylor, Sydney, and Alice will represent
THA in the State Spelling Bee on February 21,
2007 at Williamsburg Academy.

Annual SCISA Math Meet!!
10th OVERALL (Out of 39 Teams), Top Scorer for
team 1 was Katerina Lay, Top Scorer for team 2
was Zack Davis. Katerina Lay placed 5th Overall
out of 195 students!
