One student from any grade level can be selected for recognition as a Governor's Citizenship Award winner based on the following criteria:

                 Service- provides assistance to their school and/or their community;

                 Leadership- serves as a positive role model to their peers;

                 Responsibility- is prepared for class and completes assignments on time;

                 Character- consistently demonstrates respect for people and property; and

                 Discipline- follows directions and obeys rules

The winners each receive a Governor's Citizenship Award certificate and a Governor's Medal of Citizenship.  In addition, their names and schools will be posted on the website below.  The winner will be recognized at an event at the State House in the Spring.
