We are hoping that you will bring
your summer list with you to Barnes and Noble
this weekend to participate in our Book Fair. That's right, our
next book fair is being held on location AT Barnes and
Noble. You may shop there on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.
When you make a purchase, please be sure to tell the
cashier that you want to support our book fair so that we can
get credit! Then bring the B&N receipt to school.
When Mrs. Crouch receives the receipt, she will issue a free
pass - good for a free ice cream for grades 3K-3rd or good for
dropping a low quiz grade in 4th-8th grades. (If you happen to
see Mrs. Crouch at B&N, she will accept your receipts then
too.) Please encourage your grandparents, friends, and
neighbors to share their receipts with you too! If you visit
B&N on Friday evening then you will be in for a special treat.
Our adorable 3K, 4K, and 5K students will be singing in the
children's section at 6:45 Friday night. On Saturday, May 17,
1st thru 6th Grade students will be performing songs from
the April musical at 4:00 PM. Smiles and satisfaction are
guaranteed!!
Now, if you are thinking that you
don't want to do summer reading, here's a bonus. You MAY take
AR Quizzes all summer long! The school will be open most days
so that you can take the quizzes before you forget the material
and without having to wait until school's back in session. Any
AR quizzes that are taken after May 12 will be credited towards
next fall's reading points. How's that for a bonus? There will
be new updated quiz lists available at both the Hartsville
Memorial Library and the Darlington library very soon.
Make plans now to purchase your
summer reading books and next year's novels at our book fair
this week. We'll be looking for you!
